Princess Cruises is set to make a significant move by doubling its presence in the Caribbean for the upcoming summer season in 2026. This expansion will see the cruise line homeporting one ship in Port Canaveral and another in Fort Lauderdale, marking a significant increase in its operations in the region.
For the first time ever, Princess Cruises will be offering summer sailings from Port Canaveral, opening up new opportunities for passengers to explore the beautiful Caribbean waters. With over 90 cruises planned out of the two ports, this will be Princess’ largest summer Caribbean cruise season yet.
Exciting Itineraries
Passengers can look forward to a variety of exciting itineraries on offer. From Port Canaveral, the Caribbean Princess will embark on seven-day sailings to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Meanwhile, the Regal Princess sailing from Fort Lauderdale will offer seven-day cruises to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, as well as eight-day cruises to the Southern Caribbean.
Adding to the excitement, each ship will also offer one open-jaw Southern Caribbean itinerary. For instance, the Caribbean Princess will set sail on a 13-day journey from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral, with stops at various ports including Princess Cays, Aruba, Curacao, and more. Similarly, the Regal Princess will cruise for 14 days from Fort Lauderdale to New York, providing passengers with a unique experience.
Operational Changes
In light of these upcoming developments, Princess Cruises recently made the decision to cancel a series of cruises in Australia. This change was necessitated by a shift in the scheduled drydock maintenance for the Crown Princess. As a result, cruises departing from Australia between September 26, 2025, and January 12, 2026, have been impacted by this decision.
