Riu Hotels & Resorts recently reopened the Riu Palace Bavaro all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, after undergoing an extensive renovation and expansion. The property, which had been closed since May, is part of Riu’s larger Punta Cana complex that includes other hotels such as Riu Palace Punta Cana, Riu Palace Macao, and Riu Bambu. As part of the refurbishment, the Riu Naiboa was demolished to make way for an enhanced Riu Palace Bavaro.
With the renovation, the Riu Palace Bavaro now boasts 994 guestrooms, including 255 specifically designed for families and groups. The family-oriented accommodations feature three beds and are located in a newly developed area that offers attractions like a mini splash park, pirate ship, games park, cinema, and multi-sports area. Additionally, the property’s kids’ club has been redesigned to provide an improved experience for young guests.
A new food court has been added to the resort, providing guests with a variety of dining options. From a pizzeria to a “Wok-Poke station,” a fried chicken area, an ice cream parlor, and a taqueria, there is something to satisfy every craving. In total, there are now 32 dining venues available at the Riu Palace Bavaro, ensuring that guests have plenty of choices during their stay.
The renovation also introduced the Riu’s Elite Club concept to the Riu Palace Bavaro, offering guests the opportunity to upgrade their experience. Those who choose the Elite Club accommodations gain access to exclusive amenities and perks, such as a dedicated swimming pool and bar area, as well as priority check-in. The property has set aside 108 rooms for Elite Club guests, with 60 of them featuring private pools for added luxury.
The revamped Riu Palace Bavaro in Punta Cana now offers an even more exceptional experience for guests, with expanded accommodations, new amenities, and exclusive perks for those looking to elevate their stay. Whether traveling with family, friends, or as a couple, the resort provides a range of options to suit every guest’s needs and preferences.
