This ambitious effort signals the hotel’s commitment to staying ahead of evolving guest expectations and trends in the hospitality industry.

General Manager Dena Roady describes the renovation as an endeavor to craft an “elevated and modern atmosphere” that accentuates the hotel’s iconic coastal position. The design inspiration rooted in classic yacht aesthetics hints at a curated blend of luxury and comfort. The two-phase guestroom revamp will first tackle the Seaport Tower, unveiling a fresh look by winter 2025, followed by the Harbor Tower in summer 2026. These updates will feature a color palette that draws on gentle blues and warm wood, creating an inviting environment that echoes the serene coastal landscape.

The meeting and event spaces will witness a transformative redesign, particularly highlighting the Harbor and Seaport ballrooms. The hotel plans to merge sophisticated seaside themes with cutting-edge technology to elevate the overall functionality of these spaces. As corporate retreats and conferences increasingly demand high-quality digital connectivity, the installation of enterprise-grade WiFi and integrated audiovisual systems represents a forward-thinking approach to business hospitality. The subtle nautical influences in the pre-function and breakout areas, characterized by custom carpet designs and innovative lighting reminiscent of ocean waves, will provide an inspiring backdrop for professional gatherings.

Simultaneously, the dining experience will undergo a revival, starting with the signature venue, Sally’s. Set to unveil an open-air concept by March, this restaurant will shift its culinary focus to Baja Med cuisine, with offerings that showcase fresh, lively flavors. Under the expertise of Chef Alvaro Garcia, guests can look forward to dishes such as grilled octopus and a seafood tower, harmonizing the dining experience with the hotel’s bayfront setting.

In a nod to a more elevated resort experience, the hotel’s recreational facilities will also be improved. By winter 2025, guests can unwind at a new adults-only pool deck that promises a refreshing retreat overlooking the harbor. Following that, a family pool is slated to enhance the fourth-floor amenities in winter 2026. This modernized haven will be complemented by upgraded sports courts and a state-of-the-art fitness center, all set to be completed by mid-2026.
