Hard Rock International Announces Partnership with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises

Hard Rock International has recently established a partnership with Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises to provide reciprocal benefits to members of their respective gaming rewards programs. Unity by Hard Rock loyalty members will now have access to discounts on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity sailings, in addition to qualifying for invitation-only cruise giveaways.

Top-tier loyalty members will also have the opportunity to receive an annual complimentary cruise on select ships and itineraries through this partnership. Similarly, members of Royal Caribbean’s Club Royale and Celebrity’s Blue Chip programs can now enjoy discounts and other perks at participating Hard Rock locations. Moreover, top-tier members of these programs will be eligible to receive an annual complimentary trip to select Hard Rock hotels and casinos.

The decision to collaborate with the cruise lines was based on guest feedback, according to Jeff Hook, the executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Seminole Hard Rock Support Services. Hook stated that extensive research revealed that over 60% of Hard Rock’s customers expressed an interest in cruising within the next two years. Additionally, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises emerged as the top two preferred cruise lines among Hard Rock guests.

Hook emphasized that both the cruise lines and Hard Rock are appealing to a similar and highly valuable customer demographic. Despite the fact that only about 6% of Hard Rock’s total venues worldwide are casinos, Hook pointed out that the revenue generated from the casinos is substantial due to the significant amount of money spent by patrons. Likewise, the cruise lines’ casinos are also lucrative, attracting individuals with discretionary income and time, including retirees who enjoy gaming.

While this partnership marks a significant milestone for Hard Rock, it is not the first of its kind in the industry. Norwegian Cruise Line, for example, serves as the official cruise partner of the Caesars Rewards program. This trend of collaboration between gaming and cruise entities highlights the importance of catering to the needs and preferences of customers who value entertainment, leisure, and luxurious experiences.

The partnership between Hard Rock International, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity Cruises signifies a strategic alignment aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty. By offering exclusive benefits and discounts to loyalty members across various platforms, these companies are not only expanding their customer base but also solidifying their positions in the competitive gaming and cruise industries.
