JetBlue Expands Mint Business Class Services and Introduces New Destinations

JetBlue is set to introduce its renowned business class Mint cabin to three additional destinations, providing passengers with a luxurious and comfortable travel experience. The year-round Mint service will be available between New York and Vancouver starting on July 21, followed by the New York JFK and San Juan route on July 22. In addition to these routes, JetBlue will also offer lie-flat cabins seasonally on flights from Boston and New York to Phoenix beginning in late October. Furthermore, the airline will utilize Mint-equipped Airbus A321 aircraft for flights between Fort Lauderdale and Phoenix, marking the first time since January 2023 that Mint will be available on this route.

JetBlue is striving to enhance its Mint offerings by adding business class cabins on twice-daily flights to and from Fort Lauderdale during the winter season. This expansion is in addition to the existing Mint availability on flights to Las Vegas from Boston and New York. The introduction of Mint cabins is part of JetBlue’s strategy to attract and cater to leisure travelers while also focusing on generating higher revenue.

In an effort to broaden its network and appeal to a wider range of travelers, JetBlue will introduce three new Caribbean destinations this fall: St. Vincent, Bonaire, and St. Croix. Flights to St. Vincent and Bonaire from New York JFK will be added to the airline’s roster, with specific launch dates and flight frequencies yet to be announced. JetBlue will become the sole airline operating flights to Bonaire from JFK, competing against Caribbean Airlines’ existing service to St. Vincent. Furthermore, the airline will resume flights to the U.S. Virgin Islands destination of St. Croix on December 12, offering daily service from San Juan. This move will position JetBlue against other carriers such as Frontier, Silver Airways, and Cape Air in the region.

Expansion to New Destinations

JetBlue is set to launch service from San Juan to several new destinations in late October, including Providence, R.I.; Westchester County, N.Y.; Cancun; Medellin, Colombia; and Santiago, Dominican Republic. By expanding its route network, JetBlue aims to increase its presence in the highly competitive travel market while providing passengers with more options for leisure and business travel. The new routes and Mint services will be implemented through the reallocation of capacity from other parts of the network, including scaling back operations at New York LaGuardia Airport and reducing flying on underperforming routes. The changes come as JetBlue continues to optimize its routes and services, following previous announcements to adjust service levels at various airports and discontinue operations in certain locations.
