Empowering Women in the Wine Industry: A Look into Michelle Brampton’s Leadership

However, Brampton is determined to challenge this status quo and make a significant impact on creating a more sustainable, diverse, and inclusive drinks trade through WSET.

One of the ways WSET is driving change is through their Partnership program, where they collaborate with nearly 50 companies globally on social impact projects with a diversity and inclusion agenda. Brampton is particularly proud of their work with the International Wine Education Centre (IWEC) and the Black Cellar Club (BLACC) in Cape Town, providing members with access to WSET wine qualifications.

Brampton’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity extends to the culture within WSET itself. With a female-heavy workforce and a 60% female leadership team, the company has implemented family-friendly policies, including enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and flexible working arrangements. Brampton is excited to have launched new beer courses developed entirely by women, showcasing the company’s dedication to empowering women in the industry.
