Guests are now directed away from traditional pizza counters after midnight and toward the Lido Marketplace, which offers a more diverse selection of food well into the early hours. This adjustment was made in response to guest feedback regarding the notoriously long lines for late-night pizza, which had been a point of frustration for many cruisers.

The Lido Marketplace, known for its buffet-style offerings, operates from 11:30 p.m. until approximately 2 or 2:30 a.m., allowing hungry vacationers to satisfy their cravings after a day of activities. Unlike the now-closed pizza counter that operated until the early morning hours, guests can now indulge in an array of options at the Lido, which include Chicago-style pizzas, fried chicken tenders, and various sandwiches. This transition prioritizes efficiency and variety, replacing the singular focus on pizza with a broader culinary experience for late-night diners.

The menu provided at the Lido Marketplace is extensive, featuring items like buffalo cauliflower, hot dogs, french fries, and delicious desserts such as cookies and cake slices. The shift to slice-based pizza at the Lido also promotes quicker service, alleviating the congestion that guests experienced when the pizza stations were overloaded with patrons during late-night hours. For those still yearning for a personalized touch, Carnival continues to offer made-to-order pizzas through room service that can be requested at any time.

This change was communicated by Carnival’s ambassador, John Heald, via social media platforms, where he sought to connect with guests’ ideas and concerns. The feedback has been a mixed bag; some cruisers express disappointment at the loss of direct access to pizza post-midnight, while others appreciate the expanded options during late-night hours.
