American Cruise Lines recently announced the arrival of their fifth and sixth Project Blue coastal ships, scheduled for 2025. These ships, named American Patriot and American Pioneer, will be the first in the Patriot class and will each accommodate 125 passengers. One of the standout features of the Patriot class will be the expansive staterooms, ranging from 300 to 620 square feet, with each stateroom boasting a private balcony for guests to enjoy.
Both the American Patriot and American Pioneer will consist of five decks and 56 staterooms. The fourth decks of these ships will provide guests with all-suite accommodations, varying from 420 to 620 square feet in size. Additionally, spacious lounges on board will allow guests to relax and socialize with like-minded travelers, creating unforgettable moments of camaraderie after days spent exploring the charming ports along the East Coast.
Onboard Activities
The new ships will feature a main lounge and restaurant on the first deck, providing guests with stunning water views from every seat. On the fifth deck, passengers can enjoy various amenities such as sitting and dining areas, a fitness center, the Skywalk walking track, an indoor Sky Lounge, an outside sun deck, and a casual café. In addition, the third deck will offer a Bow Terrace and Horizon Lounge, while the fourth deck will house an indoor fitness center.
Compared to the Coastal Cats, which were the first four Project Blue vessels, the Patriot-class ships will accommodate more passengers. Built at ACL’s affiliated shipyard, Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Maryland, the American Eagle and American Glory debuted in 2023, with the American Liberty and American Legend entering service this year. The new Patriot-class ships are set to sail itineraries along the U.S. East Coast, including 15-day cruises of the Florida coast and Keys starting in 2025.
With the introduction of the American Patriot and American Pioneer, American Cruise Lines is setting a new standard of luxury and comfort for coastal cruising. The Patriot class ships will provide guests with spacious accommodations, top-notch amenities, and unforgettable experiences as they journey along the picturesque East Coast of the United States. We can expect these new ships to redefine the cruising experience and attract travelers seeking a blend of relaxation, adventure, and sophistication.
