Carnival Corp. is making bold moves with its recent investment in Celebration Key, a new private beach destination in Grand Bahama. This expansion project will bring significant enhancements to an existing private destination, Half Moon Cay. This Bahamian island, primarily utilized by Holland America Line, is set to undergo changes that will benefit not only Holland America Line but also its sister cruise lines.
The plans for Half Moon Cay include the expansion of beach areas, dining options, and beverage experiences. In addition to these enhancements, there are also plans to construct a new pier that will allow larger ships, such as Carnival Cruise Line’s Excel-class ships, to dock at Half Moon Cay for the first time. This development opens up exciting possibilities for new itineraries and cruise routes.
Carnival Cruise Line has announced plans to incorporate Half Moon Cay into its 2026 and 2027 cruise schedules departing from Miami, Port Canaveral, Galveston, and Baltimore. The Carnival Celebration, Mardi Gras, and Jubilee ships will visit Half Moon Cay as part of their routes, offering passengers a chance to experience the beauty of this private destination. The itineraries will include stops at Celebration Key, Nassau, Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Cozumel, Mahogany Bay, St. Thomas, San Juan, and other breathtaking locations in the Caribbean.
Diverse Cruise Options
From Miami, the Carnival Celebration will offer cruises to both the eastern and western Caribbean, featuring stops at Celebration Key, Nassau, and Half Moon Cay, among other destinations. Port Canaveral will serve as the departure point for Mardi Gras, which will sail to the eastern and western Caribbean with stops at Celebration Key, Half Moon Cay, and various other ports of call. Galveston will be the home port for the Carnival Jubilee, offering passengers six- and eight-day cruises to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas, with visits to Half Moon Cay and Celebration Key on select voyages.
The Carnival Dream, sailing out of Galveston, will also feature itineraries that include stops at Celebration Key, Half Moon Cay, and other popular Caribbean destinations. Passengers can choose from six-, seven-, and eight-day cruises to explore the beauty of the eastern and western Caribbean. For those looking for longer voyages, the Carnival Dream offers 14-day cruises to the eastern and southern Caribbean, with stops at exotic ports like Ocho Rios, Barbados, St. Lucia, and St. Kitts. Baltimore will be another departure point for Carnival cruises, with the Carnival Pride offering trips to Half Moon Cay, Princess Cays, and Celebration Key, along with stops in Nassau and other exciting locations.
