Windstar Cruises Unveils Details of New Ship, Star Seeker

Windstar Cruises recently shared exciting details regarding the Star Seeker, one of two new ships currently in the works. The Star Seeker will boast two Horizon Owners Suites located at the aft of the ship on deck 7, each featuring a wraparound balcony. These suites are designed to cater to multigenerational families, as they can be combined with adjacent suites for additional space. In addition to the Horizon Owners Suites, the ship will also offer 30 new Infinity Suites, equipped with a floor-to-ceiling infinity window that slides halfway down from the top. Furthermore, ten Oceanview suites will feature a window and a walk-in mosaic glass shower. It’s worth noting that the ship will not have any interior cabins, with the focus instead on providing luxurious accommodations for guests.

Suite Amenities and Design

Among the four highest suite categories (Horizon, Star, Classic, and Deluxe), guests can expect premium amenities such as an Illy espresso machine, canapes service, and fresh flowers. The design of all suites on the Star Seeker emphasizes tranquility, incorporating elements like light wood, soft blues, greens, and natural browns. The public spaces and restaurants, on the other hand, will showcase vibrant hues inspired by sunrises and sunsets, with warm yellows, golds, and oranges creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the ship.

Features and Itineraries

Set to launch in January 2026, the Star Seeker will offer a total of twelve suite categories, five dining options, a full-service spa, and an innovative watersports platform that allows guests to access the water directly from the ship. The ship, currently under construction in Portugal, will embark on a transatlantic crossing from Malaga to Miami for its christening before beginning Caribbean cruises. Following its Caribbean season, the Star Seeker will journey to Alaska for further exploration before transitioning to Japan and Southeast Asia. Windstar Cruises plans to announce the ship’s itineraries in early September, with priority booking available to Yacht Club loyalty members and travel advisors. Additionally, a second ship, the Star Explorer, is expected to join Windstar’s fleet in December of the same year.

By introducing innovative suite designs, luxurious amenities, and exciting itineraries, Windstar Cruises continues to raise the bar for upscale cruising experiences. The Star Seeker promises to deliver a blend of elegance, comfort, and adventure for travelers seeking a truly unforgettable vacation at sea.
